As a faculty member in Women’s and Gender Studies, Deena’s 2017 textbook “Gender and Diversity in STEM: An Introduction to the Intersection of Gender, Race, and Sexuality in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math” focuses on curriculum, faculty, and organizational initiatives to increase diversity in STEM with a focus on making STEM and public health fields more inclusive.
