I have been in banking for over 30 years. My clients have changed their banking behaviors, but the need for high touch customer service is still the same, even more so.My first and foremost responsibility is to understand your business, help you make it run smoother and add something more than just a place where you make your deposits. I may only see my clients a few times a year so I had better always be ready and treat you right.My roles in banking have changed over the years too. I have been a commercial loan analyst, commercial office manager, cash vault supervisor, corporate client service manager, relationship banker and now just a simple title, Business Banker. What that means is I get to spend time with my clients and get to know them and their business. I get to find out what makes them tick and if I pay attention bring something into their busy life to help them out. If a loan is what they need I can do that, but maybe they need a contact, or a solution that doesn't even involve money. I'm still honored to be the person they call.
