Being an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Professional, I always impose & monitor compliance safety requirements of Chapter 33 of the NYC Building Code as well as OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI, and EPA safety standards/rules relating to the operation of construction job sites. My job experience included but was limited to supervising all work with 2 points suspended scaffold system, 3 points suspended scaffold system, Department of buildings approved CD 5 overseen inspections for facade restoration, pull tests for anchoring before setting up the suspended scaffold, bolts, nuts, pins & clips security & installation during heavy rigging operations. Safety compliance pertaining to Control Access Zone (CAZ) during hoisting operations. Ensure to check the condition of slings, types of slings, capacity, expiration date, material, etc. Knowledge of how to conduct OSHA approved training classes, safety meetings, site-specific safety orientations for workers by using power presentations, handouts, and different safety-related video slides. Can translate safety rules in Punjabi & Hindi during safety training/meetings. My training classes included but were limited to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS) Fall Protection, Electrocution, Scaffolds, Crane & derricks, Flagging, Caught in between, Struck by, Safety Hazards on job sites, Ladder safety, Knowledge of how to supervise, control, maintain & enforce safety rules during regular construction work & rigging, facade restoration, & demolitions.
