About Deepa Agarwal

A problem- solver with 8+ years of experience in the social sector driving change in the areas of education skill development & sustainability. Excelled in multiple roles including Product design Fund-raising Operations strategy Government partnerships and Organisation development. A pivotal moment in my journey has been living with the tribal community in Dungarpur district of Rajasthan. I worked as a Gandhi fellow with government schools on improving the learning outcomes across five schools. Village immersion a process of living with school children in their homes enabled me to understand the bottom-up nuances of problems mobilise community build genuine relationships and truly understand empathy and generosity. Some of my other career highlights include: ✤ Contributed to Recity’s growth from a 5- member Start-up to a 200+ member leader in the domain of Waste Management. ✤ Spearheaded the design of Performance Management System for 200+ employees helping in fair assessments and visible growth trajectory ✤ As a Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associate in Ambala I tapped in my network to collectively raise Rs. 2.15 Cr. across three Impact projects. ✤ In my role at Sattva consulting managed the end-to-end delivery of CSR Project by Everest Industries focussed on up-skilling 200+ labourers in rural India. As a part of a program focused on feminist leadership I learnt to deeply self-reflect on my leadership style and redefine it on the values of shared power and purpose. It has enabled me to lead cohesive teams with high levels of integrity and accountability. It reflected in my work with 6 cross divisional teams at Recity while developing the theory of change for implementing Integrated solid waste management in tier 2 cities. Outside of work you will find me learning football cooking regional cuisines of India and loitering in public spaces at night with women in Mumbai.
