About Deepa Gandla

My mission is to pursue my passion of leading a CMC team towards the commercialization of an API into the global market for the ultimate benefit of patients. Throughout my career, I have honed a multifaceted expertise in process chemistry, product development, and CMC reporting rooted in hands-on experience. My specialties are particularly strong in cGMP API manufacturing, process optimization, and the facilitation of CDMO collaborations. I bring a forward-thinking approach to Phase 1 and Phase 2 projects, focusing on cross-functional collaboration and innovative problem-solving to drive successful project outcomes. My proficiency covers a wide range of skills including technology transfer, organic chemistry, and strategic program management. I also worked as a proud team leader/ process chemist with 8-years of cGMP and non-GMP manufacturing experience. I have worked on multiple Phase 1 and Phase 2 projects and driven them to completion. Chemistry has been my passion since I was in high school, and the love journey continues! I graduated Summa Cum Laude in Master of Science from India and arrived at the United States to pursue Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at Temple University. I also have experience teaching Organic and General Chemistry courses at Penn State. I believe during this time I have mentored and motivated many students. I have co-authored 11 peer-reviewed journals.
