About Deepak Datta

Professor Datta's research interests are in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, CEO selection, TMT characteristics, corporate governance, strategic decision processes, strategic human resource management, international entrepreneurship and international business strategies. He has published over fifty articles in leading, high impact journals. According to Google Scholar, Professor Datta's research has been cited over 6500 times by scholars in business, economics and psychology with over 3400 citations in he past five years. He has presented over seventy papers at conferences in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Turkey, U.K, and the U.S. In addition to UTA and KU, as visiting faculty Professor Datta has taught in several international programs, including the NEOS International MBA at IIBS, Italy/Slovenia, MBA program at ESC Toulouse, at CEIBS, Shanghai, the Fulbright MBA Program at Cairo University, the Jiaotong University Executive MBA program in Qingdao, China and the L'vov Institute of Management, Ukraine. He has taught in the UTA Executive MBA programs in Ft. Worth, Taiwan and China. He has won several awards and recognitions for teaching and research. He is currently on the editorial boards of the Journal of Management Studies, the British Journal of Management, Management International Review, and the Journal of International Management.
