About Deepak Kandpal

With over 25 years of experience in the ICT and IA industries, I am a seasoned Information Technology Manager at Townsville City Council, where I oversee the delivery of various IT projects and services for the local government. I have a strong background in portfolio and program management, performance management, ROI and P&L, value chain management, and client management. I also have extensive technical knowledge and skills in control system design, programming, implementation, testing, installation, commissioning, validation and software development, using various DCS, PLC, SCADA and HMI systems and Microsoft.NET technologies. I have worked on multiple control system projects and R&D across the world, for leading companies such as Emerson, Honeywell, Alstom, and ABB, in various sectors such as oil and gas, mining, chemicals, petrochemicals, manufacturing, food and beverage, power, cement, packaging and pulp and paper. My mission is to leverage my diverse skills and expertise to deliver innovative and sustainable IT solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the council and the community.
