About Deepak Ramsurrun

Deepak reckons extensive experience in Media, TV and Telecom business. Since February 2024, he has taken the role of Content Licensing and Syndication Lead at Mauritius Telecom. Prior, he spent about 10 years in TV industry particularly in production of TV contents, as TV anchor and News/Business reporter. He worked for over 10 years in the Telecom Industry and was in the core team for the introduction of IPTV in Mauritius in 2006 by Mauritius Telecom/Orange. Deepak has been closely associated with the introduction of TV offers, including negotiations for FTA and Premium channels, Mobile TV rights and VOD contents. As in charge of Corporate Communications and Public Relations, reporting to CEO (2009-2016) he had the opportunity to promote the company’s FTTH, IPTV(VOD/SVOD), 4G, mobile TV and Multi Screen strategies. In 2015 he extended his experience in events management by joining Dataxis Africa as Events Manager, then later Head of Events, with the task of connecting with TV Business leaders and chairing panel discussions on evolving TV Business topics like Pay Tv, DTH, Cable TV, Digitisation, OTT and Telco content delivery. Since December 2016 Deepak has a new challenge. He is now the CEO and Founder of Dveo Media, a company specialized in the set up of Technology & TV Business conferences for India and Africa Markets with focus on Digital Video, Animation and Esports industries. In this new role he has successfully organized 4 editions of OTTv Mumbai, 2 editions of OTTv Kids & Animation and the first edition of Esports Summit India.
