About Deepak Singh

I’m a marine industry professional with over three decades of experience across sailing and shore-based leadership roles in ship management. Currently, I serve as Director – Fleet and Designated Person Ashore (DPA) at Oceanic Express Ship Management (OESM), a company I co-founded in 2023 to provide comprehensive, reliable, and compliant ship management services. Before launching OESM, I spent 15 successful years with Transworld Group, progressing from Technical Superintendent to President – Fleet. During this time, I led fleet operations, technical management, dry dockings, crew management, and business development on a global scale. My core strengths lie in ship repairs, audits, surveys, vessel sale and purchase, pre-purchase inspections, crewing, and technical compliance. I’ve built strong relationships with regulatory bodies in India, various classification societies, and maritime labor unions in India. With a Chief Engineer’s License issued by the Government of India, I also hold a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA in Marketing, and a Marine Engineering diploma. My seafaring experience as a Chief Engineer allows me to approach shore-based management with a practical, solutions-driven mindset. I’m passionate about driving operational efficiency, developing people, and building high-performance teams in the maritime sector. I’m fluent in English, Hindi, and Marathi, and always open to collaboration and strategic partnerships in the global shipping domain.
