About Deepika Pangarkar

Being an “engineer” isn’t just about formulas and technical problems. It is about people. Every problem I have encountered in engineering has been solved because of teams of incredible individuals who brainstorm and bring fresh perspectives to the table. Every problem has been solved by understanding what drives individuals in daily life and how to create success by empowering those around us. Engineering, to me, is not just a job title, but the way in which we interact with the world around us and make connections to improve it. It is about linking seemingly unrelated problems and seeing a bigger picture. Whether it be figuring out how to cook for 40 guests, or how to optimize a line to produce a greater volume of tape, I get excited waking up in the morning knowing I get to interact with all kinds of people and bring a fresh perspective to problem solving.
