About Deepit Arora

As a Robotics Engineering student at Arizona State University, I am passionate about developing innovative, human-centered solutions for complex engineering challenges. Through my coursework, hands-on projects, and research, I’ve built a strong foundation in robotics, automation, and control systems. My research has focused on medical robotics, particularly in minimally invasive surgery, neurosurgery, and endoscopy. I’ve contributed to novel robotic systems in these areas, co-authoring academic papers and a patent, and presenting my work at conferences such as ICRA, the International Symposium on Medical Robotics (ISMR), and the Southwest Robotics Symposium. I've previously applied my skills as a Controls Engineering Intern at ClearFlame Engine Technologies, where I help design, test, and optimize control systems for low-emission diesel engines. I previously worked at ThorDrive as a Mechatronics Engineering Intern, developing steer-by-wire systems for autonomous tractors. I’ve also led electronics development for wearable exosuits and soft robots as the Electronics Lead at Devil Prosthetics, integrating sensors, actuators, and circuits for human-assistive devices. In addition to my technical experience, I’ve demonstrated leadership and communication as a Student Leader for the Grand Challenges Scholars Program, supporting a community of students driven to tackle global problems through engineering.
