About Deepti Mannem

As a linguistics student at the University of British Columbia I am passionate about exploring the connections between language culture and communication. I have a strong academic background in English literature having graduated with a BA from the University of Madras in 2020. I am also fluent in French having completed levels A2-B2 at the Alliance Française de Madras. In addition to my studies I am working as an Speech Therapy Assistant and Behaviour Interventionist specializing in therapy for children with ASD. I have gained valuable professional experience as an Instructional Designer at Cognizant where I designed and developed engaging and effective e-learning courses for various clients. I have also honed my skills in web content writing Microsoft Office and Adobe Captivate as well as in conducting and presenting research. I have published two research papers on the impact of digital journalism on English literature at international conferences. I am eager to apply my knowledge and skills to new challenges and opportunities in the field of linguistics and education.
