About Deepu Jojo

Deepu has worked as a trainee in the International Arbitration branch of Nauta Dutilh, Netherlands. He was working at both the Amsterdam and Rotterdam offices of the firm. Deepu also completed an internship at Association for International Arbitration, Brussels. Deepu is a graduate of Advanced LL.M in European and International Business Law from the Europa Institute at Leiden University. During his course at Leiden he did his Master thesis on the topic of ‘Sovereignty and the enforcement of International Arbitration awards in National Courts’. He was also selected for the Directed studies program in Private International law for the summer course organized by The Hague Academy of International Law in 2012. Prior to his LL.M, Deepu worked as the Research Assistant to Justice S.B Sinha. During the course of this tenure he was able to deal extensively with International Commercial Arbitration cases as Justice Sinha was a presiding arbitrator for several International Commercial Arbitration matters. He had the task of conducting extensive research for the Arbitration matters and also had to assist the judge in order to ensure that the conduction of the International Arbitration matters was in accordance with the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act.
