I have spent more than 20 years working as a lawyer, both in private practice and in the disability sector, and as a disability rights advocate, providing legal advice, referral and representation, community legal education and working on policy & law reform/systemic advocacy issues in relation to people with a disability. I have been an active member of the Disability Law Committee of the Law Institute of Victoria, working groups of the Victorian Federation of Community Legal Centers, DANA (Disability Advocacy Network Australia) the National peak body for disability advocacy in Australia, and am currently a board member of Disability Advocacy Victoria Inc, the Victorian peak body for independent disability advocacy. I am also a member of the Geelong Law Association, HOGA and OGGS.
