Deirdre Amola is the Founder and CEO of travel curation company, Black Travel Fest, and resides between Bali, Indonesia and Ghana. With 19 years of solo travel experience and 60+ countries visited, Deirdre has built a reputation as a bold, adventurous, and seasoned traveler. Her passion for entrepreneurship, travel, and uplifting people, inspired Deirdre to found Black Travel Fest to increase the presence of melanated travelers around the world, while also making exotic travel more accessible for people of color. With a background in international auditing at Chevron and strategy consulting at Boston Consulting Group, Deirdre brings a unique blend of global business experience and travel expertise to the company. She works tirelessly to manage vendor relationships and curates unique travel experiences for clients, always aiming to surprise and delight. Deirdre’s mission is to heighten the customer experience and provide an outlet for people of color to travel with like-minded individuals in a safe space. Through Black Travel Fest she and her team have hosted more than 450 travelers across 5 countries, and is able to boast a 67% client return rate. In her free time, Deirdre loves being out in nature and is known for her waterfall chasing adventures. Her adventurous and inspiring spirit has earned her the reputation as an incredible host and travel curator, making Black Travel Fest a must-experience for people of color looking to see the world differently.
