About Deirdre Doherty

Graduated with an Associate of Science in Radiology as an ARRT Registered Radiology Technologist and acquired additional registries in Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance (MR). I have held registries as a Radiology Technologist (R) and possess additional registrations in CAT scan (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR). My experience encompasses both outpatient and hospital settings. I am up to date in Basic Life Support for healthcare providers, specifically in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) usage. My competencies include the accurate interpretation of physician scanning instructions, proficiency in initiating IVs using butterfly or angio catheters for venipuncture to administer intravenous contrast materials, and the preparation and operation of MRI and CT scan equipment. I am also skilled in positioning patients to capture necessary images and possess a comprehensive understanding of MRI/CT principles. However, my expertise lies in effectively managing time and patient care, resulting in diagnostic images. Well-versed in imaging procedures and manipulating images using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems, including eRAD, DR Systems Performance Solutions, McKesson, and Meditech's PACS systems. From an administrative perspective, I have accumulated nine years of experience in medical billing and collections and have served as Assistant Chief Technologist.
