About Deirdre Ocallaghan

I completed a diploma in Digital Marketing a few years ago and now manage the social media presence of a number of SME businesses. The tone of "voice" used in social media channels is crucial to the impression a company makes on their customers. It's not enough to just post to social media on a regular basis, you have to constantly monitor the conversation around your specific industry and maintain a presence, responding quickly to questions and conversations. I have worked in an administration capacity for most of my life - apart from the years I took to return to education when I studied art and developed my own line of ceramic sculpture. I've worked in construction, airlines, hotels, a yacht club, magazine sales and writing among other industries, and most recently as assistant to the facilities manager of a multi national medical device company as well as running a busy front office reception. Oh, and I was watch captain on a yacht that raced around the world; about miles over 9 months back in the day. I'm proficient in all the usual apps you would expect in administration. I'm currently also using MS Dynamics NAV and Oracle, and I've used Salesforce and a little bit of CAD. I am quite often called on to assist with troubleshooting software and installation issues, and I am a very quick learner when it comes to new software.
