About Deivory Howard

As an Epidemiologist at the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH), I apply my public health expertise and master's degree in public health to design and implement demographic, environmental, and epidemiological studies. I gather and analyze statistical data, medical assessments, laboratory findings, and other information to identify trends and methods of epidemic prevention or containment and write technical reports of study findings.I also monitor epidemic outbreaks and propose methods of epidemic containment, monitor and evaluate disease control programs in long term care facilities and recommend solutions for disease control problems, and develop and conduct training or educational programs to facilitate institution or facility compliance with various disease control regulations. I respond to inquiries from health care providers, public health officials, and the general public regarding public health issues and policies. My mission is to protect and improve the health and well-being of the people of Arkansas through evidence-based practice, research, and education.
