About Deja Reis

I am a young, devoted and striving student that attended Year Up Boston studying Financial Operations. I am the first in my generation to attend college and I've been successful thus far. Year Up is a training program for young adults to help close the opportunity divide. Within a year you can work in a corporate office which is something I always wanted to do. I admire administrative work and possessed these skills at the age of ten. I learned about filing, answering phones, transferring calls, as well as getting into depth in Microsoft Office. As of recently I've been interning at Wellington Management in the Portfolio Services department and I'm responsible for analyzing derivative reconciliations, reviewing trade reconciliations with brokers and with the help of Microsoft Word I create and distribute the agenda for the weekly team meeting. I also work with other teams and create a weekly risk report using Excel and on a daily basis I effectively manage emails, calendar appointments and coordinate meetings. The opportunity I have to intern at Wellington is such an honor because it proves that there are companies out there that actually care and value their employees and still puts their clients first and that's a requirement for me when working for a company.
