About Delane Shepherd

I am currently majoring in Risk Management and Insurance perusing a career in the Insurance Industry. I have grown a passion for Insurance and the customer service relationships that are created when you get to help an individual be ready for the unexpected. I am currently sharing the V.P. or Finance position for MTSU’s Gamma Iota Sigma chapter and have enjoyed taking various insurance courses that have expanded my knowledge about what I am passionate about. I have also had opportunities to build my knowledge through shadowing jobs and internships. My academics have helped me find an industry I am truly passionate about that involves helping people manage their risk and be prepared for the unexpected events through life. I am excited to jump into the Insurance Industry and ready to learn all the different skill sets that are needed. There are so many different opportunities and career paths within the industry that I am eager to learn more about so I can find my future career. I enjoy spending my time with my family, my friends, my church. I also enjoy any outdoor activities especially golf.
