As The NY Foundling’s Senior Vice President of Medical Services, Delaney Gracy, M.D, MPH, oversees and provides strategic direction for the provision of medical services to all children in the care of each of our regional medical clinics.Dr. Gracy brings over 20 years of experience as a physician and in leadership roles dedicated to the strategic development, implementation, and sustainability of multi-site, multi-disciplinary health services in the non-profit sector. In her most recent role, Dr. Gracy served as the Director of Clinical Services at the Montefiore School Health Program, where she oversaw multidisciplinary clinical services at 33 school-based health centers including federally qualified health centers, Article 28 medical clinics, and Article 31 mental health clinics. Prior to that role, Dr. Gracy served as the Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs at the Children’s Health Fund and as the Director of Clinical Initiatives and Coordinator of Residents/Students at the New York Children’s Health Project.Dr. Gracy graduated from Baylor College of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at the University of California San Diego. She was a general academic pediatrics and urban community health fellow at Columbia University Medical Center and earned a Master of Public Health, Epidemiology from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Dr. Gracy has been invited to participate in various professional committees, she has co-authored numerous publications and health education materials.In her advocacy work for children in poverty, Delaney has spoken at academic conferences, congressional briefings, fundraising events, and has been featured in mainstream media-including the Today show in August 2013 and and an online baby care series with PARENTS magazine. In November 2013 she was recognized by Forbes as one of the “Top five emerging powers who are using innovative technology solutions to transform lives and proving that STEM can make a difference in generating impactful social change," and was a featured thought leader at the 2016 Aspen Apex Patient Experience Summit. In 2024 she, along with Dr. Rosy Chhabra of Montefiore School Health Program, were honored with the Pediatric Academic Society Public Policy and Advocacy Program Award.
