Background

About Delaney Williams

I will graduate from Tarleton State University in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Relations and Event Management and a Minor in Technical Writing and Document Design. Throughout my time at Tarleton, I have worked to gain experience in the event planning profession through relevant coursework and job experience. This includes the position of Event Coordinator at Clark Gardens. As the Event Coordinator, I am responsible for the various duties related to venue rental and the management of private and public events. I work directly with the Director of Events to plan annual garden-hosted events such as the Model Train Show and the month long Grow at Clark Gardens Festival. I coordinate vendor contracts, create promotional materials and finalize event details. This position helped me understand how to plan and execute public and private events of various sizes. Additional related experience includes my time spent working other customer service centered jobs and various study abroad trips that contributed to my personal and professional growth.
