Energy is at the heart of widespread social, economic, and climate problems. In this context, there is no doubt that renewable energy sources constitute a key element of a sustainable future in the world and Africa in particular. Clean energy technologies are vital to alleviating poverty, expanding rural development, and protecting health while promoting sustainability and environmental quality. This is why renewable energy has been a fundamental pillar to my career, and this explains why I choose to specialize in Renewable energy Engineering. I started my career as an electrician in 2004 and worked for Bornman and single phase electrical for 2 years. In 2007 I decided to further up my studies at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.(Power Engineering). In 2012 I joined Eskom Integrated demand side management programme (IDM) through University of Cape Town (UCT) Energy Research Centre (ERC) as an Energy efficiency Engineer, whereby I was involved in various energy efficiency projects. In 2013 I was involved in the construction of the first generations of grid connected PV solar projects in South Africa; where I worked as a Project Engineer for the construction of 11 MW and 22MW PV solar plants with sun trucking systems in Douglas, Northern Cape south africa ( Greefspan and Herbert respectively ). Early 2014 I joined Letsatsi O&M company; 64MW pv solar plant as O&M Manager.
