About Della C.

As a supply chain professional my main focus has always been on the distribution side. I have over 20 years experience in wholesale distribution: operations, warehouse, sales, controller. I have over 15 years experience selling, consulting, training and project management focused around ERP software for wholesale distributors. When the company was purchased and their focus seemed to change, I left and formed a consulting company called Tree Logic. As President of Tree Logic, Inc I managed 19 associates that provided modifications, custom software, project management, training and support. Running a company gave me a new perspective on both management and leadership and allowed me to work with distributors at a different level by focusing on the business process side of distribution. The role of CIO has evolved from a strictly technology focused position to a business centric position. As a C-level executive it is my responsibility to help ensure that each department has the tools they need to run efficiently, help our customers and vendors do business with us and ensure that the technology applied is in line with the overall corporate strategy. I most recently had the honor of publishing an article in the business publication by Aspatore titled "Inside the Minds: Business Process Management of Technology Professionals". Preparing for this article and subsequent postings has reinforced and helped me align my career with where I believe the role of a CIO is going.
