About Delvin Solkinson

Greetings from the Elphinstone Rainforest of coastal British Columbia, Canada. I am community gardener, native plant enthusiast, permaculture student and teacher. I collaborate with my wife Grace to teach classes, create free learning and teaching tools, write articles and makes videos. Over the last 20 years I have taught thousands of people of different ages and built numerous community learning gardens in public places and on school grounds. After my university degree I took a PDC, Diploma and Masters Degree with Bill Mollison the co-originator of permaculture. I have travelled the world including taking 13 advanced courses and 13 teacher trainings in-person with permaculture pioneers at some of the best and oldest permaculture sites. A life long learner, I have taken multiple permaculture design courses, two additional Diplomas and a five year Doctoral Degree in permaculture education. Currently I am doing Post-Doc in Permaculture Education with Larry Santoyo and the Permaculture Academy. I serve as Diploma Program Co-ordinator and a Field Mentor for the Permaculture Institute. I am a Diploma Tutor with Permaculture Association and an Instructor on the Pacific Rim College Permaculture Design and Resilient Eco-systems Diploma program. Grateful to be the Lead Instructor on Graham Bell's legacy Permaculture Design Courses for the Soil Food Web School.
