Demarcus holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and a Master's in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management from reputable institutions in Texas. He is a demonstrated leader with a strong commitment to driving business innovation. His entrepreneurial journey began early when he founded an award-winning mentorship organization during his business studies, which garnered significant recognition for professionalism and excellence in 2014. Additionally, his exceptional communication skills earned him multiple accolades as a best speaker with Toastmasters International that same year. Following his graduation, Demarcus utilized his leadership and analytical capabilities as a budget analyst for the City of Sugar Land, reporting on a budget that exceeded half a billion dollars in expenditures. Subsequently, he joined NRG Energy, a Fortune 500 company, as an Intrapreneur/Analyst. In this role, he played a pivotal part in revitalizing an internal startup initiative, achieving the distinction of National Employee of the Month in 2018, a recognition typically reserved for long-term contributions, which he accomplished within just two months. In 2019, he took on the role of IT business analysis trainer at the Texas School of Education and Recruitment, where he successfully trained over 25 entry-level professionals who subsequently secured employment with various organizations. Furthermore, Demarcus served as a board member for the Association of Industry Analysts (AIA) during the 2021-2022 term. A proponent of lifelong learning, Demarcus independently studied computer programming through MIT’s OpenCourseWare program in 2021.
