About Demetri Dalas

I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington in June of 2022. I will be graduating with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering, with a structural emphasis, in March of 2024. Before graduating with my Bachelor's Degree in 2022 I obtained my Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification. Since beginning the structural engineering graduate program at the University of Washington in September of 2022, I have also been working as a structural design engineer, designing single family and multi family residences, in which I design the gravity and lateral systems for a given structure, with a variety of materials such as timber, steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry. Other work responsibilities include special inspections of epoxy grouted anchor bolt installation, site visits, seismic retrofit design, and drafting using AutoCAD. By working and attending school simultaneously I have been accustomed to managing multiple tasks at once and working diligently to complete a given project. I want to find a position in which I can apply this work ethic to and provide quality, efficient work.
