About Demetrick Deville

Throughout my life I realized I have a passion for helping and assisting others, and have always wanted to escalate my range of ways of helping people. I started in retail at Macy's as a Support associate. My hunger to support eventually grew, and I wanted to do even more. I began a new job as an Office Administrator at Bethesda Generators. Though I realized I needed to do something more with my life, and began to grow a desire for more education, but with something I had some prior knowledge in. Thus, I began searching for careers little did I know you needed education, and experience. Then I heard about Year-Up and I knew it was for me. I got in and gained so much personal and professional growth, as well as technical skills to back that up, which I used during my internship at CSIS. At this point I yearned for more of the IT professional world, yet I still had my soft spot for customer service. I began another short stint at Bethesda Generators, before receiving a call for position at the Center for American Progress, which has been the best learning experience I've had thus far. I've gained so much experience through working here, met so many great people with such passion that it's rubbed off on me, and helped me transition into the technician I am today.
