About Demetrius Beauchamp

I have recently graduated from San Jose State University, with a Bachelors Degree in Communication Studies. I am a former Student-Athlete, competing in the Division I NCAA and I went on to play at both the international and professional levels. I played with the American Samoa National Team as well as semi-professional teams in the Bay Area. With my professional soccer career coming to an end, I am very motivated to begin a career in sales using my Communications background to help me be successful. I am extremely interested in continuing to expand my knowledge of the industry. Both my degree and my experiences with playing soccer at many levels and all over the world have contributed to my work ethic, my time management skills and my desire to perform to the best of my abilities. I am a true team player and will do whatever it takes to succeed and achieve both my team's goals, as well as my own goals. My varied customer service experiences have ingrained in me the ability to listen to customers' issues, provide support and best serve them. Being a student-athlete has contributed to my mentality of never half-committing to anything and always giving my best effort. This is applicable to my ability to meet demand for business or any other needs, as well as just the way I generally approach my professional responsibilities. I pride myself on being an outgoing and creative individual with strong communication skills. In completing my B.A, I gained great experience in public speaking, interpersonal communication and rhetorical criticism, as well as critical decision making, argumentation and persuasion in different settings. I always aim to maintain a positive attitude that is both professional and empathetic.
