About Demetrius May

My journey began with a passionate drive to alleviate homelessness and housing instability within my community. Fueled by a deep sense of empathy and a commitment to social justice, I found my purpose in assisting individuals facing housing challenges to secure and maintain stable living arrangements. In my role as a housing navigator, I serve as a guiding light for individuals grappling with the complexities of housing insecurity. Whether they have experienced homelessness, eviction, or housing discrimination, I am dedicated to providing unwavering support and guidance, empowering them to overcome obstacles and secure a place they can call home.My job role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, requiring me to be a resourceful problem-solver and a compassionate advocate. I work closely with individuals to assess their housing needs, preferences, and eligibility for various housing programs. Through personalized support and guidance, I help them navigate the complexities of the housing market and connect them with available resources and support services. One of my primary responsibilities is to serve as a liaison between individuals and housing providers, landlords, and community organizations. I work tirelessly to build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders to ensure that individuals have access to safe, affordable housing options. Whether it's negotiating rental agreements, advocating for housing subsidies, or mediating landlord-tenant disputes, I am committed to ensuring that everyone I work with has a place they can call home.
