About Demetry Freeman

As an environmental consultant and educator, I combine my passion for sustainability, diversity, and skill development to create positive impacts in urban environments. I have a bachelor's degree in sustainable community development from Northland College, where I learned how to apply ecological principles and social justice frameworks to address complex challenges. I have over six years of experience in environmental services, working on projects such as green roof consultation and design, urban forestry, stormwater management, and community engagement. I have also been teaching at Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy since December 2021, where I help students develop their academic, social, and emotional skills and prepare them for college and career success. Some of the skills I use and teach include knowledge graphs, communication, and collaboration. My core competencies are creativity, problem-solving, and leadership. My mission is to inspire and empower people to create sustainable and resilient communities that respect and celebrate diversity.
