About Dena Burroughs

For the past 10 years I have worked as a freelance copywriter, proofreader, and an English and ESL instructor.* Prior to that I worked as administrative assistant to the Regional Vice President of HealthCare Partners, and as project coordinator for Alliance Environmental.* I have a Bachelor of Arts in English (emphasis in creative writing) with a Minor in Communications, and a Master of Arts in Humanities with emphasis in literature.* I have strong editorial and grammar skills, with an excellent command of the English language. I can work autonomously and as part of a team.* As a language instructor, I teach my students to edit content for grammar, punctuation, and style, specifically to use APA style correctly.* I am proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word and Powerpoint, as well as Google Suite.* I am a self-started with a passion for researching, learning, and sharing what I know. I created and maintain two websites - TheFumeofSighs.com and VidaSalsera.com. While these were created as a hobby, they show that I have experience working with content management systems (WordPress) and with keeping an eye in the quality of what I publish.
