About Dena Jeffries

Growing up playing sports, particularly softball, I have gained many great skills and attributes that I still use today in every aspect of my life. Leadership, organization, problem-solving, and working well with different people are just a few of those skills. Throughout my college experience at San Diego State University as well as my career at Sherwin-Williams, I was able to build on these skills as well as many more that have made me the person that I am today. I was also able to find my professional strengths and figure out what I enjoy doing. After working in management and sales I switched to the financial side of the business, and I loved it! I was solving problems for my fellow coworkers as well as assisting customers to get them back on track, along with many other tasks. It was a great feeling knowing that I was helping others in a way that was also challenging me in an area that I did not initially think that I enjoyed when I began my professional career. Funnily enough, I also have a passion for the written word. Throughout high school and college, English and Literature were my strongest subjects, but I never pursued that field professionally until now. In recent years I founded Cool, Calm, and Corrected LLC proofreading services to fill that void in my life that I was missing. I’ve always had an annoyingly keen eye for grammatical errors, and I like to help others fine tune their voices before they publish. This is something I love doing in my spare time, but it’s not the only thing that I would like to be doing on a professional level.
