About Dene Cicci

Strategic and innovative executive with extensive leadership experience across higher education, industry, and government. As Executive Director, Students at RMIT University in Melbourne Australia, I lead a diverse portfolio dedicated to shaping and delivering transformative student experiences. My remit includes student services and support, welfare and wellbeing, equity and inclusion, student integrity, careers and employability, student life and sport. I am passionate about creating inclusive, enriching, and digitally enabled environments where every student can thrive. With a proven track record in driving transformational change, building high-performing teams, and fostering sector-wide collaboration, I bring a strong commitment to advancing both best practice and “next practice” in education. Beyond RMIT, I serve as Vice-President on the Executive Committee of the Australian and New Zealand Student Services Association (ANZSSA) and as a Non-Executive Director of Melbourne community radio station I am currently enrolled in a Doctor of Education in Leadership and Innovation at Arizona State University.
