About Denis Guyonnet

I believe that our diet is our primary medicine. My career allowed me exploring the impact of different foods/nutrients (probiotic food, prebiotic, polyphenols) on different aspects of human health. I’m passionate by the intriguing interactions between food/nutrients and gut microbiome and how the modulation of gut microbiome by foods helps to improve health. I developed an expertise in the set-up of scientific strategy to demonstrate the health benefits of foods or ingredients using clinical trials and/or preclinical models with multidisciplinary international scientific collaborations (eg microbiology, gastroenterology, nutrition, phytochemistry). I love thinking about how to leverage on this science into direct communication to consumers or health care practitioners to support a science-driven business growth. Team work with international, multidisciplinary, passionate & positive people, responsible research & innovation and challenge to transform science into concrete food product for better health are my key drivers. I’m animated by an entrepreneurship spirit to explore new territories, think out of the box and create values for both consumers and the company I work for. I’m convinced that companies who place science and innovation at the center of their strategy will be able to offer new foods/nutrients corresponding to consumers’ needs for healthy foods and better adapt to our fast changing world.
