About Denis Korekov

Computers were a passion from an early age. Having owned a Pentium 3 desktop PC at home, I began to experiment with programming at the age of 16 (Pascal and C). Initially as a hobby, it turned into a full time preoccupation that led to the pursuit of further studies. In 2016, I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Czech Technical University in Prague. The university course was rich and covered a wide variety of specialist topics including algorithms, data structures, AI technologies, databases, data networks and more. The course has taught the necessary fundamentals of problem solving through advanced mathematics and algorithm optimization, both in theory and practice. Bachelor project involved a solution for journey planners comparison (Google Directions, CyclePlanner, and web visualization of results (using Google Maps). It included usage of Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Jackson, Maven, BitBucket, JUnit. Through my career, I have gained a lot of experience. This includes, but not limited to- developing web-applications (mainly RESTful back-end) in C#(ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework) and Java (Spring, Hibernate, Maven)- developing IoT solutions- usage of VCS (primarily Bitbucket, also SVN)- working in Scrum and Kanban environments- working with multiple databases (primarily PostgreSQL, MongoDB, also MySQL)- building and deployment via Docker, Bamboo- front-end development (Vaadin, GWT, JSP, GSP; extensive usage of JavaScript; basic Angular). In general, I'm acquainted with the technologies listed below. Back-end: C#(.NET and.NET Core), ASP.NET Core, NLog, xUnit, AutoMapper; Java, Spring, Maven, Gradle, LOGBack, JUnit, Jackson. Persistence: Entity Framework, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL; Spring Data, Hibernate. Front-end: HTML, CSS/Saas, JavaScript, Angular, JSP, GSP. VCS: Bitbucket, SVN. Methodologies: Scrum, Kanban. Other: JIRA, Confluence; C/C++, Python, Lua; Unix systems; OAuth authentication.
