About Denis Ogolla

Having spent the better part of my career working in management-oriented roles at organisations that specialise mostly in Healthcare, I have garnered significant expertise in business management - particularly with regard to sales, marketing, project management, and operations. This expertise, which is transferable across sectors, is what has enabled me to attain my greatest career achievements: The fit-out and operationalisation of a brand new 87 bed level 4 state of the art hospital, Avenue Hospital, Thika, overseeing the expansion and repositioning of Avenue Hospital, Parklands from a 65-bed secondary care hospital to a 140-bed facility offering secondary and tertiary care, and my involvement in the successful set up and launch of a 64-bed hospital, Avenue Hospital, Kisumu, and its later expansion to a 98-bed facility, in addition to the expansion of outpatient facilities from five to sixteen as Managing Director. I envision myself on a Board of Directors or as an Executive Director, collaborating with institutions to share my years of experience in establishing and maintaining sustainable healthcare models for low- and middle-income communities. With the quest for Universal Healthcare, leading by example can assist management teams to reach their full potential, turn around, and develop their healthcare practices. My long-term aspirations include lowering healthcare costs for both providers and patients while preserving high-quality service delivery and developing sustainable models that can operate efficiently for years to come.
