About Denis Schrey

Denis Schrey currently serves as the Team Leader for EU Projects at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Berlin. Before (2019-2023) he was the Programme Director of the Multinational Development Policy Dialogue (MDPD) at the Brussels Office of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and served as Network Coordinator of the European Network of Political Foundations (ENOP)(2021-2023). He is a qualified Development Economist and Political Scientist, Political Consultant and Project Manager with experience in managing complex development projects in Europe and Asia. Mr. Schrey worked as EU Project Manager in Vietnam (2008-2011) and KAS Country Representative in Cambodia (2011-2016). He specialised in advising on political party and parliamentary reform processes, decentralization and media reforms, with a regional focus on South East Asia. Between March 2016 and February 2019 he was based at KAS HQ in Berlin, where he held the position of Project Director of APRAN (Asia Pacific Research and Advise Network). The APRAN project provided on demand policy advice to ASIAPAC/European External Action Service (EEAS) on EU Asia-Pacific relations. In Febrary 2021 Denis Schrey was elected Coordinator at the European Network of Political Foundations (ENOP). Established in 2006, ENoP serves as a dialogue platform between the political foundations in the European Union, their local partners in over 100 countries around the world, the EU institutions and civil society organizations active in the fields of democracy, sustainable development and political dialogue.
