About Denise Avila

I started my journey exploring the world of quantum optics with my Master's in Physics from UFMG, but discovered my drive lies in applying scientific thinking to solve real-world problems through technology. My career has taken me through some exciting challenges: At Loggi, I helped solve delivery problems in Brazil. I worked with teams that handle offers and pricing to create smart systems that made deliveries run smoother. I developed practical delivery optimization solutions using mathematical modeling, operations research, and machine learning algorithms that improved package delivery speeds across the country. During my time at Arado, I worked closely with warehouse operations and last-mile delivery challenges. I focused on improving picking processes and implementing warehouse management systems that made operations run more smoothly and made work easier for the team. Currently at Jusbrasil working on Jusia, the AI-powered legal assistant, contributing to building intelligent solutions for the legal sector. What drives me: I love the puzzle-solving aspect of technology, whether it's optimizing delivery routes, streamlining warehouse operations, or applying traditional NLP techniques and building AI systems for Legal applications. Each domain brings unique challenges that keep me learning and growing. My toolkit: Django, FastAPI, gRPC, distributed systems with Celery/RabbitMQ, plus ML tools like TensorFlow and Google OR-Tools. But If solving a problem requires mastering something new, I'll try to learn it :)
