About Denise Dalton
I am the Risk and Compliance Officer for Palmerstown Credit Union and am really enjoying the exposure to Corporate Governance and Credit Union Compliance. As this is a part time role I found I had the time during the working week to take on the additional role of Internal Audit Senior with the ILCU from 1 September 2015. I have learned a lot about the Credit Union ethos and have been lucky enough to be presented with opportunities that afford growth in learning and development. I am excited about the future of the Credit Union sector in this time of change. I have successfully completed the Compliance Diploma with The Institute of Bankers and UCD. I received an A+ grade in a level 8 certificate in Risk Management and an A- grade in a level 9 certificate in Data Protection through IOB and UCD. I am honoured to have been a member of the IBA Compliance Committee from April 2012 to August 2015. I am also honoured to have been an elected Council Member of the Insurance Institute of Dublin until mid 2017.
