About Denise de Groot

I'm blending my last eight years of business ownership and management (Health, Wellbeing and Exercise) with my previous 33 years of HR knowledge and experience (with the John Lewis Partnership) and offering my services as a Consultant. My background lends itself to HR roles but I'm not restricted to that as eight years of business ownership has confirmed to me that I can also successfully manage roles in Marketing, Client Liaison and Operations as these were an everyday focus for me in our business. I understand both Retail and the Health and Wellbeing industry but I'm flexible in what I will consider. As long as I can believe in the ethos of the company and the role itself can benefit from my skills and expertise I'm excited to consider it. I'm passionate about enabling others to achieve the change and outcomes they're hoping for and for these changes to be successfully embedded, whether that's into themselves personally or into the organisation in which they work (or indeed both!). I'm an organised and structured thinker with an ability to make links and connections and I'm well suited to project management, operations and task execution. I am a strong networker and a big advocate of developing others. My success as a consultant is not measured by what I alone achieve but what the people and team I work with achieve collectively. Their success is ultimately my success and it's that which provides the testament of how effective I am.
