About Denise Kramer

Strongly believing in a necessary change from a traffic planning to a mobility planning approach. Moving from A to B is a deeply human and social experience and I see it as an engineers and planners responsibility to secure and support this basic human need. Vehicles are tools to do so but they should never be the main character in any discussion. It has to be the human being moving around public spaces, having access to different means of transportation based on their current needs and abilities while also considering societies well-being on a bigger scale #climatechange. Motorized vehicles are a great invention but prioritizing the most expensive form of individual transportation is a deeply discriminating practice and only prolongs patriarchal structures in our society. One step towards transport equity lies in more diverse transport planning and engineering teams. Mobility planning is a work of public service, therefore the public needs to be represented by those working on it. Looking forward to connect with and learn from like-minded professionals so together we can work to improve transport justice in our surrounding,
