About Denise Landon
Recently acquired my Bachelor's Degree in Deaf Studies w/an emphasis in Education. I am currently working towards my Graduate Program to acquire my Teaching Credentials & Masters in Education. My desire is to teach ASL I & II, English & Health Sciences to High Schoolers. What's My Dream? Well, thank you for asking. To work for the DOD-EDU & teach the young adults of my fellow Sailors & Soldiers in another country. There by creating an environment with the opportunity to introduce Social Justice, Equity vs Equality & Tolerance to a very impressionable group of young thinkers. This is an exciting concept for me. I'm a full time single mom of a beautiful 12 year old daughter, who has severe ADHD. I currently live in the Riverside, CA area and will continue my Education at UCR. I recently passed my CBEST with a lovely score of 166, and am ready to move forward in my career. During my senior year at CSUN, I've been the Education & Resource Officer, Recruitment & Membership Co-Chair, PNM Educator & 5K Fun Run Volunteer Coordinator for my Coed Veteran Fraternity, Sigma Tau Alpha. I will miss my CSUN life, however, my connections made there are for a lifetime. I'm excited for this next chapter to begin.
