About Denise Schultz

I am a passionate and progressive educator with a commitment to foster a sense of self efficacy in all students. My vision is to banish the culture of math failure from our classrooms by replacing it with a love and understanding of mathematics for both teachers and students.Thanks to many amazing opportunities and a long list of professional development, I have a strong understanding of teaching and learning mathematics. I support teachers in developing their own content knowledge and to improve instructional practices through modelling, coaching, questioning, and by providing productive feedback to those I work with. My work is thoughtful and mindful that teachers have one of the most complex and challenging jobs of all - educating our youth. I have worked in education as a classroom teacher, district math teacher specialist, instructional math coach, facilitator of professional development, adjunct professor of early education graduate level students, as a consultant for other educational companies (math), and recently as an apprentice for online content focused coaching.
