About Denise White

I knew I always loved working with kids and being in a teaching role, but I didn’t expect to be where I am now. I currently work with special needs adults aged 18-22 as a paraeducator. This role fell onto my lap with the help of a friend who thought I would be a good fit for this position. As a first time paraeducator and working in the healthcare field, I have fallen in love with my role here. Everyday I work with the teacher to help with the lesson plan and ensure that the students are in a positive environment while assisting with any assignments they’re working on. This position requires a lot of attention to detail to ensure they are in the best learning environment to monitor their skills. It brings me great joy to interact with the students and see them open up to me as well as learn proper social skills. Being able to help build their confidence and learn about their way of thinking has been very fulfilling. I am excited for growth and looking forward to see which avenues this position takes me.
