About Dennis Auyang

I am an educator and I love to design experiences and systems. I design systems for my school/organization and I design curriculum for my students. I have an eye for recognising opportunities and visualizing possibilities and I am good with integrating and synthesizing ideas. I like “what-ifs” and I take innovations seriously to create more meaningful outcomes for others. I believe in a broader perspective that an entrepreneur is someone who is able to design innovative solutions that are integrative and sustainable which in turns creates value to an organization or society. And my individual goal is to creating more meaningful and sustainable outcomes for my organization, its stakeholders and my students. I maneuver between 2 ends - the abstract and the pragmatic. My teaching experience includes:(1) Teaching of Philosophy (political philosophy, distributive justice and theory of knowledge, moral reasoning and business ethics)(2) Design Thinking and Ideation (products, services, user experiences, spaces)(3) Business Planning (presentation design, marketing, revenue model)(4) Planning Community Service Projects (Needs analysis, implementing solutions, reflecting)(5) History (Singapore History - early and Colonial period)(6) Corporate Strategy Development (from knowing what is happening to having a helicopter view) My current area of interest is exploring the use of collaborative learning tools online that enhance student learning engagement and experience.
