About Dennis Sledge

While I originally started my career path in the mechanical design field I found myself yearning to become less of a technology end-user and more involved with programming and computer systems. I now have over fourteen plus years in the IT industry and experience with many various technological aspects of the computing industry. I have worked intimately with critical enterprise systems to ensure reliable serves for thousands of customers via primary systems such Oracle Database, SQL Server, SAP ECC, and the associated support systems. Often my responsibilities have varied over time yet have included extensive support via database design and administration, Linux and Windows administration, and application development using Java, JavaScript, PL/SQL, Bash, and ABAP. I have worked extensively with several Oracle technologies to provide internal and end-user solutions via APEX, PL/SQL, SQL. and BI Publisher. In my most recent position I have gained valuable experience with SAP including BASIS administration, Personas scripting and flavor design, and enterprise administration and support with PP, MM, HR. Currently I have a “beginner-to-Intermediate” knowledge of SAP Query/Report development and ABAP programming including function/RFC module design. My experience with SAP includes the ability to administrate the BOBJ instance and design and publish Crystal Reports. For over a decade I have been the IT supervisor for critical enterprise systems including Banner SIS and SAP ECC. In this role I have managed a varying degree of people ranging from Interns to Systems Experts. I have successfully implemented many enterprise services including Imprivata SSO, Office 365, SAP Personas, Altassian Jira, and provided end-user training for all affected company personnel. Using the Scrum framework, I have led teams in performing root cause analysis, solution discovery, and solution implementations that resulted in incremental and production ready solutions.
