About Denry MacHin

My career encompasses international school leadership, boarding, the UK state sector, and university-level teaching. For AISL, my role covered new school development, market feasibility studies, compliance, marketing, brand activation events, brand alignment, and copy writing. Additionally, I support Warwick University’s PGCE (International) programme and taught on Keele University’s international MBA, MA and PGCEi programmes. My PhD focussed on the implications of business thinking within education, including economic modelling of key markets. I have had peer-reviewed journal articles published on issues related to edubusiness, am the author of several business texts, and serve as a reviewer for academic journals. My latest book, ‘International Schooling: The Teacher’s Guide’, offers practical advice for teachers embarking on, and enjoying, the international adventure. I also serve as a Governor for a start-up international school in Malaysia, as an advisor to a UK-based teacher training agency (Dragonfly Training), and manage the Educational Digest International, a publication offering actionable summaries of academic news, views and research.
