About Denya Grljevic

Grey's Anatomy is what really started it all for me. I remember watching it for the first time in high school and binging it all night long with very tired eyes. You know what I'm talking about - when it's 2 a.m, hand in the chip bag, and you're wondering what day it is. What kept me so intrigued was the dynamic of the show. It relays the message that while pursuing a career in the medical field can be tough, it is extremely rewarding. I felt like I would enjoy a similar career because of the kind of work they do - helping others the best you can all while being surrounded by science every day. Because of this passion I felt, I decided to pursue a degree in Biology: Pre-Physicians Assistant at Southeast Missouri State University. Here at SEMO, I was truly able to learn the depths and intricacies of science as well as have hands-on lab experience. I was able to study all different kinds of chemistry and biology, help teach students in microbiology lab, and gain a plethora of colleagues who grew with me in the process. I hope to continue my education and devotion to helping others.
