About Deon Claude Beukes

As a Grade Head at BRACKENFELL HIGH SCHOOL, I oversee the academic, social, and emotional development of learners in my grade. I am part of the School Management Team, with learner leadership, grade heads responsibilities and discipline as my portfolio. I have a Bachelor of Education degree and more than 10 years of experience as an educator and a youth counselor. I am passionate about teaching Life Orientation, a subject that covers topics such as personal growth, human rights, diversity, health, and career guidance. I have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and I enjoy working with learners, parents, and colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment. I also participate in various extra mural activities, such as sports, arts, and community development. My mission is to empower learners / people to discover and pursue their talents, interests, and goals, and to prepare them for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. I am proud to be part of the BRACKENFELL HIGH SCHOOL team, a diverse and dynamic school that strives for excellence, innovation, and social responsibility.
